Joy Reclaimed was composed during COVID in late 2020-early 2021. More than a musical endeavor, it was an honest and much needed expressive outlet and musical exhaust in a high-pressure and anxiety-inducing context.

The EP was recorded during summer 2021. The project was initiated by multi-instrumentist Ulrich Schadeck who contacted his buddy and drummer Jonas Sanders to track the drums at Black Out Studio in Brussels. After a drums recording session of 2 days, Ulrich retired to his humble home-studio with all drums tracks to challenge himself, digest, think, and mostly record all guitars, bass, vocals, choir and more... All tracks were then sent to Daniel Cardoso in Portugal for mixing and mastering.
After failing to convince labels, managers, booking and press agents, Ulrich proceeded to organize himself for a 6 months traject of performing, promoting, releasing... The highlight became the release show at Le Lac in Brussels. This is basically how FOWV came to be: a DYI rock project by another human nobody full of dreams and hopes and simply in love with music.
